RFK Jr. and the Case for a Post-Partisan Presidency

Could RFK Jr overturn 230 years of American political history, and become the first independent to mount a truly credible campaign for the presidency? Does the increasingly partisan and unpredictable nature of American politics provide an opportunity for the ultimate outsider to outrun the two-party system?

In The Truth Teller, Jack Buckby explores the impact that Kennedy’s candidacy could have on the Democratic party’s slide towards authoritarianism, his ability to connect with America’s youth, the common ground between Trump voters and Democrats, the potential to make landslide victories common again, and the healing power of a candidate who refuses to alienate half of the country. In telling uncomfortable truths, Kennedy offers a radically moderate vision for America and a blueprint for bringing the country back from the brink of permanent decline.

The Truth Teller offers a unique look at Kennedy’s campaign, describing how Kennedy’s radically moderate vision for America, his ability to bring together the left and the right, and his unique campaign style present an opportunity for America to normalize its politics and bring this divided country back together.

“In a time where political tribalism dominates, it’s refreshing to hear a unique political perspective backed by independent and thoughtful analysis. Mr. Buckby convincingly argues that whether a Republican, Democrat, or Independent, the broad views of the American voter are not nearly as disparate as the ‘divisionist power brokers’ want us to believe. The Truth Teller is an expertly crafted treatise written by a free-thinker for free-thinkers.”

“Buckby makes the compelling case that only ‘radical moderation’ can vent the pressure of polarization that has brought American politics to the brink. Robert Kennedy, Jr. has made himself a pariah among Democratic Party grandees who live by lies, but his penchant for telling inconvenient truths has earned him credibility across the aisle. Enough credibility, Buckby argues with conviction, that Kennedy is the only figure in his party capable of winning an actual governing mandate in 2024.”

About the Author

What happens when politicians ignore contentious political issues for decades over fears of being called racists or conspiracy theorists?

Jack Buckby, once known as Britain’s “Boy Wonder of the Far Right,” knows all too well.

At age 15, like many disaffected young men, Buckby joined Britain’s rapidly growing white nationalist movement. He left the movement as a young man after seeing the damage that these hate groups cause to the psyches of those who join; but he also issues urgent warning about how the extremes of partisan polarization coupled with assaults on free expression ultimately cause more and more young people to join extremists groups, both on the Right and the Left.

Now writing as an American, Buckby argues that a Kennedy candidacy -- and potentially presidency --  will help tamp down extremist passions and bring the nation together under a much-needed unity government.

In championing the issues that American workers care about and breaking free from the clutches of an extremist Democratic Party, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s independent presidential campaign promises to fix America’s economic and social problems – and as Buckby explains, prevent a concerning rise of political extremism on both the left and the right.
